Role Overview

The General Superintendent will oversee all aspects of assigned demolition projects, ensuring they are delivered on schedule, on budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards. This role requires a proactive leader with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of construction and demolition processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project scheduling, scope, safety, and quality assurance

• Supervise and develop Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews

• Ensure compliance with project documents, OSHA standards, and company safety practices

• Review and interpret construction and demolition plans in detail

• Oversee change order processes and manage project costs

• Coordinate with the Production Coordinator on permitting needs

• Attend preconstruction meetings with General Contractors and Owners

• Walk assigned projects weekly to ensure scopes align with bid documents

• Address document changes and assess their impact on pricing and scope

• Maintain professional relationships with employees, clients, and vendors

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years as a Construction Superintendent or Demolition Superintendent

• Proven track record in heavy structural and selective demolition

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Ability to read and interpret detailed construction documents

• Knowledge of construction scheduling and industry best practices

• Creative problem-solving skills for unique project challenges

• OSHA 30 certification preferred

• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PROCORE, and Bluebeam

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
