Senior Construction Project Billing & AR Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Billing & AR Specialist to join our Finance team for $80-$85K annually.

This is a high-volume position responsible for managing 160+ monthly progress billings, collections, and the documentation required to keep construction projects billing accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Process 160+ monthly progress billings in coordination with Project Managers
• Prepare AIA billings and understand progress and percent-complete billing
• Manage schedules of values, retainage, change orders, and required billing documentation
• Manage high-volume change orders and job cost documentation
• Prepare for monthly WIP meetings, including over/under billings and revenue recognition
• Monitor AR aging and actively manage collections and DSO
• Post and reconcile ACH, wire, and check payments
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
• Manage pre-liens, lien waivers, and multi-state requirements
• Manage project closeout documentation
• Support month-end close, audits, and compliance
• Assist with Arizona TPT reporting

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction accounting, project billing or AR experience 
• Experience with high-volume construction progress billing
• Experience with AIA billing format, progress billing, and percent-complete billing
• Strong understanding of job costing, WIP, retainage, change orders, and revenue recognition
• Experience with Sage 300 preferred 
• Experience with Job Cost Budgeting
• Experience with pre-liens, lien waivers, and project closeout documentation
• Strong Excel skills
• Highly organized, accurate, and able to manage a large billing workload and competing deadlines
• Strong communication and follow-through with Project Managers and customers

Compensation & Benefits

• $80,000–$85,000 annually, based on experience
